About Me

Lifelong traveller. I've been travelling extensively for the last 6 years and I have had some really incredible opportunities. Married to a wonderful wife, and through travel and couch surfing, I’ve had a great opportunity to make friends with people from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and to share new experiences with new awesome people. I'm not much of a sight-seer, so I'm motivated by the different people I meet and experiences that I have while travelling. I see travel more as a set of relationships and connections rather than a set of sights. I think Couchsurfing can help facilitate this travel ideology of mine.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don’t watch TV much. I like interesting movies, sometimes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel throughout Europe and South America exploring most of the countries on the way and learning from people with really interesting stories to tell.
Paragliding in rio, reaching Ushuaia, trekking in Patagonia, hiking through the Amazon, learning from Cubans in Havana about socialism, visiting countries formerly at war and talking to both sides to get unique perspectives, convincing the owner of an exclusive bar in Dublin to let me in as I’m just a solo backpacker, would be a few of the things I’ve done on the way...

Teach, Learn, Share

Travelling has helped teach me to approach every new encounter, whether traveling or not, as an opportunity to learn instead of an opportunity to teach, It’s a motto that I will continue to use for the rest of my life.

I can talk about software (dev/arc), investing, talk and debate about real issues, share my travels throughout Europe and the Americas. I want to meet people who are different from me. I'll learn much more in the world and about myself by being around different people with different view points.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel experience, going out and experiencing the city together and hopefully remaining friends well into the future.
