I simply love travelling . I am a passionate hitchhiker and backpacker with an interest in exploring new places, meeting new people and learning about their lives and culture. My goal is to travel as much as my studies and my budget afford. And somehow, it still kind of keeps me mainly in the souteastern and eastern direction...

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I believe that the best way how a traveller can learn about foreign lands is to interact with locals. That is, to chat with them and raise and then enjoy the heated discussions about both similarities and differences between cultures, regimes or people's attitutes.

I want to learn what the locals like, what are their habbits, how they think and how they live, what are their interests and what they think is worth seeing in their homeland. And can you do this in a hotel or find it in an issue of LonelyPlanet? Answer yourself..;)

Intereses

Travelling - currently my passion are the countries of Caucasus, Central Asia, Southeastern Europe and Latin America. My dream, a few months in Canada, still remains unreached though.
Sports - hiking (especially in the mountains), skiing, voleyball, handball, ice hockey (the latter only passively, however a loooot)

Geography (yes, I actually am a total map geek)
Global issues & politics
Writing - no novels though. I rather enjoy writing reports, news and various articles.

Música, películas y libros

Music - there is just a few styles for which I would have an absolute 'NO'.
I enjoy all kinds of music as it is always a matter of mood, situation and yeah, even some epoch. I like rock, classic rock, progressive and alternative as well as dub, shoegaze, electro or psytrance... and that is not all for sure :)
However, there are some pieces that will never get old. Keeping that in mind, I say Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins.

As for movies, I enjoy especially the classic gangster movies, westerns and James Bond movies. But I can also very much appreciate a good thriller, comedy or drama.
