I grew up in a city of about 1 million people on the Canadian prairies. At home I grew up speaking Spanish and English, though I’ve since added Português to my language skills. I've been living in São Paulo Since October 2023, and prior to that I spent 3 years living in Antwerp. I like to sing karaoke, cook, meet new people, travel, hike, dance, and watch movies when I get the chance.

Throughout my travels I have met interesting people from all corners of the globe and various walks of life; however, the chance encounters and conversations with the residents of places I have been to have added a whole new perspective to the cities beyond what can be read in a guide book. If I can make my (seemingly boring) hometown exciting to an Australian for 3 days, it shows how much the human element can contribute to a travelling experience.

Música, películas y libros

I really like the Beach Boys, King Gizzard, Arcade Fire, David Bowie, and the Gipsy Kings, but my musical tastes span many genres. The film I've watched the most in my lifetime is Forrest Gump, although I wouldn't necessarily call it my favourite. My favourite directors are Eastwood, the Cohen Brothers, Kubrick, J.P. Melville, Nolan, Tarantino, and Scorsese -- and I could add more.

I obtained a truck-driver's license when I was 18, and was able to use it to drive limos during my second year of uni.
