About Me
(NOTE: Please don't judge with the response rate and the last login info. For the former, I had a time where I was unable to answer every message, but now that has changed, and for the latter I don't use to login so much often to Couchsurfing, but messages and requests are delivered to my personal email, which I check every day.)
Hi guys! It's a pleasure for me to be part of this kind of communities, to meet travelers and support them and, sometimes, being supported!
I studied Mathematics and now I live in Denmark while I finish my PhD in Computer Science.
I used to live in Rionegro (Antioquia) (one hour from Medellín, Colombia), I used to host people there, as the place was close to an international airport and it was very convenient to travelers.
Now that I live in Denmark it's not that for me to host as I live in a shared dorm, but I can do it from time to time so don't hesitate to ask! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and new places, specially when they're foreigner. This is a perfect place for that porpuse.
I like hosting and meeting people since it's the best way to travel without leaving home (traveling is about two things, places and people, this way, I obtain half of the adventure!) and learn, share and having good times.
Usually I can only share with you a day, show you the place and give you information, or just sharing a word, let you use the bathroom, shower or let you take a rest, that depends on many factors. Write me and we'll see what we can do! just have for sure that you may count with a 'checkpoint' here.
Interests
I like three things: Mathematics, Music and Videogames, and I LOVE one and only one thing: My beloved wife.
I love traveling, although I'm young and I don't have many stories to tell. This is the beginning of a long story, I'm sure. I hope all of you will help me to write this "story of my life".

Music, Movies, and Books
Rock, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Experimental and Classical Music, among other things. I'm not a very good reader (in terms of literature) but I've read Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, the Martian, the hitchhiker guide to the galaxy, Alice in the wonderland and other popular novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- 2011: I travelled my local coast (at 500km from my location) by autostop, nothing amazing really but, for me, the most amazing thing I've ever done, and one of my beginnings.
- Nov 2015: I visited France for a Cryptography workshop. First trip abroad!
- Nov 2016: I visited Denmark for an "interview" to get a PhD position. Got accepted! :)
- Mid 2017: Started the PhD thingy. Not that much time to travel now but still having fun!
I hope to update this section soon, and to keep it updated during the rest of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I know something about Mathematics, which I can teach you of course, however, I can't imagine someone needing mathematics classes "Yes, I'm with a traveler or a hoster and I want to spend my time with you studying maths instead of sharing stories and discovering new things!", but you're welcome anyway.
My wife is an anthropology student, she can teach you a lot of Colombia and its history!
Also, I can teach you how to make a couple of chords on the guitar! or we can play together if you want.
I can show you some spanish words if you're insterested on it! It's not bad to know, for example, the difference between "Una pelota negra" from "Una negra en pelota".
We can talk about videogames, movies, travels, places of the world, nature, science, music, and a lot of stuff more! I'm ready to learn and listen whatever you have to share, believe me, I'm interested in everything if it comes from interesting people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm an easy going person, you won't have any trouble with me, moreover, I guess I can get a smile from you!
