Overview
About Me
I'm a 26 chilean from Santiago, right next to the Andes! I just finished my MSc. in Engineering, and now want to travel for a bit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of meeting new people and share my culture with someone from anywhere in the world. Also, probably the best way to know somewhere is to talk and share with someone who lives there! Besides, there's nothing more amazing that sharing your own home and have a great time in the process.
Interests
I love photography (check out the photos section) and playing the guitar. I also practice basketball, and I'm always looking forward to sharing a beer in a cool pub. If I could be on a constant vacation I would spend half the time in the outdoors and the other one playing music.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music-wise and when it comes to guitar playing I'm greatly influenced by Hendrix, The Doors, McCartney, Lennon, Clapton and Page (forgive me any musical god I forgot while writing this). Recently I have also developed a taste for indie/alternative music, like Chet Faker, The Kooks, Alt-J, Tame Impala.
Movies: definitely a geek, I could watch any LOTR or Star Wars anytime. I love the Tarantino series and don't mind a good documentary once in a while.
I try to be constantly reading a book, don't mind mixing non-fiction with a novel. One of the recent ones was Thinking Fast and Slow, by Daniel Kanheman (totally recommended).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Was president of the engineering students' organization on my University. It was an amazing opportunity to dedicate my time for the changes me and an amazing group of friends wanted to see in our community. I'm a co-founder/director of a non-profit that promotes the social role of engineering. Hiked through a glacier in Patagonia. I lived in Africa for a month.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some Spanish, specially Chilean slang (it should be considered a different language).
What I Can Share with Hosts
A guitar jam, a not-so-bad home cooked meal and great conversations!
