About Me
Hi freebirds and globetrotters all around the world! :D
My name is Danny and I'm new in the game of CS ;)
I'm 24 years old and live in Vienna. I grew up in the countryside and moved to a spacious apartment nearby the city-centre together with a friend of mine about 4 years ago.
I'm an open-minded, caring, reliable and funny guy with a sense for black humor, who is very much interested in foreign countries, different cultures and getting to know like-minded people :D
When friends come over to my place I'm aiming that everybody is having a good time, so I'm a born host ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Everytime I'm on vacation there is one simple thing which annoys me: the constant feeling of only being a tourist ;)
I don't want to be just a guest, visiting some more or less famous sights and places...I want to meet different people, get to know some of the inhabitants and let them show me THEIR favourite places!
To make a long story short: I want to immerse in a different culture!
So I was looking forward to be part of this great community for a long time, but to be honest I used to think that I'm not "ready" enough, because of the whole comfort-zone thing...but times have changed, and after a really great holiday experience I've lost my insecurities and now I'm kind of in love with the whole CS spirit, so I finally decide to join the party! :D
Interests
I'm interested in music, movies, football, hanging out with friends, making party and having a good time, sciences, getting to know new people and of course traveling!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I would rather say indie-music, but also electronic and rock, as well as some local bands. Oh, and I'm playing the drums and occasionally I bash something meaningless out of the piano ;)
-Arctic Monkeys, Justice, Queens of the Stone Age
Movies: Silver Linings Playbook, Whiplash, The Martian and the creations of David Fincher and Clint Eastwood
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a road trip right across europe with 2 friends of mine. We traveled by car and went from Vienna to Stockholm, with overnight stays at Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Hamburg. After 1 week in the beautiful city of Stockholm we had to drive back home.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some (Viennese) German phrases, or even some basic drumming.
I would love to show you my favourite spots and all the important places you have to be seen in Vienna or even my hometown.
If you not into the whole sightseeing-thing we can just hang out and go for a coffee or having traditional Viennese dinner and enjoy the nightlife. :)
I would love to learn something about your interesting culture, language, as well as the reasons you be traveling around the globe :)
Things I can share with you: a comfortable couch to sleep on, a hot shower, a washing machine and you can gain a personal insight into Austrian (or especially Viennese) mentality! Needless to say that there will be bed linen, blankets, pillows and towels waiting for you :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a very modest, polite and grateful guest with great respect for other people's property!
