About Me

I've been learning new things constantly, discovering different labels for who I am. From architecture to hospitality to carpentry to film making, from food to fitness, from an adventurer to an artist, the titles keep coming as I keep going. While the labels keep changing there are some constants, like the want to create something original, to make the world a better space and bringing joy to people. Be a part of bringing change to the world. An important part of this journey is understanding and healing yourself. I have been and always will be on this journey of self healing and discovery, always bettering and improving myself. A journey of giving to myself and being able to give better to others. I'm also quite the monkey, always wanting to do crazy things, to be wild and free. I fell in love with the mountains a decade ago and it's been one long journey finding a way to live in it. As of right now, with bags and baggage packed I'm moving to the mountains, to start from scratch, to start a new life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the things I enjoy most about travelling is the amount I grow and learn from my interactions with people, from the most native folks to people from across the world. There was a time I couldn't travel and started an Airbnb to bring the people to me. It turned out to be one of my most fulfilling experiences. Sharing my home brought such joy to me as it was a carefully designed physical representation of how I desired my environment to be, which in turn brought great joy to people. I always knew of couch surf but somehow never indulged. The more I learn about it now, the more it seems like a community that shares this very joy.

Interests

I guess all of my interests spring from wanting to provide an experience for people, the intrigue for how things work, especially how things are made and function together. My journey with the great beyond along with the magnificence of the great Himalayas has made alternate sport and fitness a significant part of what I do and love. A large part of my focus is also around healing. I love the idea of putting in the work and having a lot of fun doing it whilst being surrounded by the most beautiful landscapes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Set up and ran my own bed and breakfast while in grad school. During this time I also trained seven dogs which became one of the main attractions of the space.

Recently lost 15 kgs in three months while training for a Mountaineering course.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach slacklining and flow arts, sustainable design and building, health and fitness to a certain extent.

I know a few languages enough to communicate but not great at any. Being brought up in an English speaking family I never had the opportunity to pick up on another language completely. Language is something that I'm very interested in and would love to learn as many and as much as I can. Specifically Hindi at the moment is of dire need as I'm moving to Himachal Pradesh.

I've spent alot of my life just constantly doing, learning , experimenting and apart from the things I've done officially, my life has been a constant push into the unknown, always challenging me to grow and understand myself and the world around me. I would love to share my experience with people, to inspire and play any part in igniting passion that adds so much purpose and meaning to our journeys.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a handyman, a jack of all trades. From fixing a pipe to fixing up a meal, I can pretty much do anything and if I don't know how, I catch on quick. I've travelled solo/low budget extensively the past decade and would love to share my knowledge and experience.
