I'm Daniel-Joseph Gareau, from Ottawa, Canada.
I'm studying Forestry at Fleming College in Lindsay, and currently doing a semester exchange at the University of Padova in Italy. Obviously that means I love conversing about all things tree related. Some people would say I talk about trees too much!

Other than that I love speaking about cultural history and practices, both mine and yours! I usually don't plan anything when I'm travelling to different places. I just walk around until something catches my eye or hear suggestions from locals and other travellers. That means I'm always open to different experiences.

Lastly, I love trying new food and will always refuse picking a favourite cuisine, as they are all so rich and varied.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to meet new people and share the "Canadian viewpoint" with others who are interested. This is my first time using Couchsurfing, but I've stayed in many Hostels and really loved the ones that gave me an opportunity to meet new people.

Discuss about both of our countries' cuisines, people, history, anything really!
I have experience with construction so if there are some projects you need help with, I'm more than willing.
I'm willing to really do any general chores around the house that you need!
And of course I love speaking with people, so if you're interested in practicing your english and sharing some of your native language with me, I'm happy.
