About Me

A Brit abroad - currently living in Luebeck as part of my year abroad, helping German students improve their English. Enjoying the low-stress lifestyle, before the aching stress of uni life inevitably comes to drag me back to England... But for now am ready and raring to travel the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Making the most of my freedom while I still have it - as you have seen on my 'countries visited', I have yet to even leave Europe, and the most of the countries I HAVE visited were this year for the first time. Plus, it's always great to meet new people, and saving any money wherever I can is obviously a great incentive.

Very up for doing things with whoever is hosting me, but if you'd rather be left on your own I am more than happy to do my own thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I ADORE Thrillers, especially those set in my town in Germany. I don't know why I find them so fascinating - I guess I love perfectly visualising all the details. Though my all time favourite books are To Kill a Mockingbird, Room, Le cœur à rire et à pleurer, and 1984.

I enjoy all genres of music, but on my own I listen to mostly pop / artpop: SOPHIE, Janelle Monaé, US Girls, Robyn. Though I'm eager to branch out my music tastes so any suggestions are more than welcome ;)

I can never say what my favourite film is... My favourites from last year were, funnily enough, The Favourite, as well as Annihilation. My favourite German film is Das Cabinet des Dr Caligari and my fave French film is Les Mauvaises Herbes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycled from London to Paris for charity - even thinking about it makes my legs hurt! Decided to do a skydive the year after because that is, of course, far less painful.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Unfortunately I'm quite talentless... but I can at least converse pretty well - it is literally my job to after all.
