About Me

I love travelling without any particular aim, exploring different cultures, getting into adventures and contemplating the world.

I like the good old times, historical reenactment and LARPs and medieval markets. I'm fascinated by the world before the XXc, especially European middle ages.

My fields of research are mythology, ethnography, anthropology, history, and cognitive sciences.

Also I like being in the nature, hiking, swimming, sailing, climbing rocks, walking in wild places, and quiet little towns and villages. I'm also into sports. I even work out regularly and do some martial arts.

I love philosophical discussions in good company, with generous amounts of wine and beer.

As a guest I'm quiet and non-intrusive and I'm totally ok if my host may be too busy to show me around. But it's also awesome to hang out together. Always good to hang out with the locals!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started really using CS only a couple of months ago and immediately met wonderful people. I don't really know why this great idea hadn't occurred to me before...

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Umberto Eco, Ernst Juenger, Ladislav Klima, "Narziß und Goldmund" by Hesse, Bulgakov, Lovecraft, Hans Evers, William Butler Yeats, Ursula le Guin, "Gormenghast" by Mervin Peak, George Martin, J.R.R.Tolkien, Andrzej Sapkowski, Roger Zelazny, Neil Gaiman, Edgar Allan Poe, "Our Lady of the Assassins" by Vallejo, Gustav Meyrink, Arthur Machen, Oscar Wilde, A. I don't like antiutopias and existentialism. There is too much of it around and I don't feel the need to multiply these entities... In my opinion, the world needs more Arthurian legends, heroes and elves.
