About Me
Hey there!
I'm Daniel. I moved to Glasgow in 2017, before that I was in London, and before that I was travelling!
For work I do software development. It's a freelance job so I get a bit of free time every few months to focus on other things like friends, volunteering, and seeking out new adventures. If we meet it'll probably be in one of those gaps!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had a great experience hosting and meeting folks on Warmshowers (Couchsurfing for cyclists) so now the bike is back in the shed I'm having a go at this!
I've been so fortunate to travel because it has given me a) time to rest and reflect, and b) a chance to see the world from so many different perspectives. For me being part of the Couchsurfing community is just about keeping that experience alive, even if I'm not on the road.
Interests
Cycling, food, expeditions, food, running up gnarly hills, cooking, learning new things, music (listening and playing, although it's been a while!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rode 1000 miles in 6 days (Lands End to John O'Groats). Maybe more horrendous than amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you how to code but maybe let's just share some stories and our life experiences?!
What I Can Share with Hosts
If we're both free we can explore the area or find a hill to walk. Otherwise, food, drink and a genuine interest in hearing about your travelling experiences!
