Overview
About Me
I grew up on a sheep and beef farm in Northland and moved to Dunedin to study. Now I live here with Sara. She moved here from Michigan, USA to study and never left. I am to blame, at least partly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love having friends around to visit us for dinner. Eating together is a great way to get to know people better. I see CS as a great way to find new friends.
When I am traveling I want to find people who know more about where I am than I do and learn from them, I.e. where they live. I would rather find places off the beaten track (not just the main tourist spots).
And as a host I hope to do the same for others.
Interests
FOOD! From growing it, collecting/gathering/finding it, to cooking and eating.
Diving for seafood, Paua (abalone), mussels, cockles and kina (sea urchin) are all relatively easy to get here in Dunedin. With no room for a proper garden, all I grow herbs and chillies in pots on the windowsill, but they are great!
