About Me
This is tricky.. what do I say???
I am a happy go lucky person who loves to socialise and meet new people. I have travelled a little bit but nowhere near as much as I want too.
I enjoy new experiences, surroundings and cultures but I also love my home in the countryside!
I think I have a good sense of humour and enjoy making people laugh (normally at my expense).
I grew up on a small working farm which has been in the family for years. I currently work full time as a junior accountant while also going to evening education. I am studying to be an accountant so that's why my personal time is so important to me as my work life is sometimes boring, but I am sure everyone's is at some point.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am couchsurfing for a few reasons, mainly to travel the world at a low cost budget but also to meet some incredible people along the way. I believe that meeting people in the area that I will be travelling too, ensures I will see the best of what there is.
In doing so, I hope to give fellow surfers the same experience in my home, however I can't promise any good weather!!
Interests
I have many interests of which some I get to enjoy and experience more often than the others. I am a very big football fan and support Leeds united. I have travelled throughout Europe on various occasions to watch them. I experienced the good times and now its the very, very bad! I also enjoy playing football and have played since being 4 years old.
I have a big interest in most sports and I think my knowledge is very good of most sports and enjoy talking and engaging with others on their views and thoughts.
My all time favourite experience is skiing, however I find it difficult to do it as much as I would like to in the middle of England. I don't think there is a better feeling then skiing down a mountain side with friends to a little log cabin for some warm mulled cider!
As stated earlier, I love traveling and seeing new things and meeting new people. Whether it is locally or on the other side of the world, I enjoy new sites and surroundings.
Like most people, I enjoy to socialise and party with friends. I like experiencing festivals and different traditions that accompany these parties and festivals. I have found that alcohol can quite often make these party's and festivals even better hahaha.

Music, Movies, and Books
One of my passions is Music. I love all types of music but especially British indie rock such as Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and many, many more. the kings of Leon also rock my world! I love going to concerts and music festivals regardless of which band is playing. The atmosphere in the venue is the most important. My favourite singer at the moment is Jake Bugg, I can never turn off his CD.
If I am in the right environment, I can also enjoy dance/euphoric trance music. I saw Swedish House Mafia at their last ever UK concert which was one of the best things I have ever seen. I am going to go to my first festival abroad this year at BBK in Bilbao. I am especially looking forward to Mumford and Sons who I still have not yet seen.
I am quite fussy when it comes to films. I like all genres of films but there must be a very good story in there. I like thrillers and dramas where you can never guess the next direction the film will go in. And of course, you can not beat a good comedy. I would say my top 5 favourite films (in no order) are:
The life of David Gale
Rise of the Foot soldier
50 Dead men walking
Dumb and Dumber
4 lions
As of books, I am not one for reading fiction however I do like factual books especially if they are based on history or autobiography. My favourite book is called "Paint it white". This follows the story of a Leeds united fan who has travelled to every single game in the last 40 years (even on his wedding day).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I have done is difficult one to think of as many things have been amazing even the little things in life can be amazing.
One thing that was really enjoyable for me was traveling to Slovenia with my best friend to watch Leeds united play. The football took a back seat as the place where our accommodation was, was the real highlight of the trip. We stayed in what was once a WW1 prisoner of war camp, now converted to a hostel for travellers. It was located in a part of Ljubljana which is not governed by Slovenian laws (apparently). This meant that you could party with the locals (many of which lived in old run down empty buildings) all night, drinking home made alcohol and eating home made food.
It was an experience I will never forget.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you come to stay with me I will be able to offer you a happy warm room in the heart of my beautiful Yorkshire. I would like to be able to help you as much as possible in enjoying your time and making the most of your time with me.
I can guarantee you an experience you forget, and hopefully me neither!!!
