About Me
Hi!
I'm a student from Austria who likes music (I play the drums mysself), languages and programming. I'm working in a small IT company and finishing my studies besides. But when I'm not doing either, I like to travel and see other countries. I'm especially interested in germany, estonia and northern europe, as I don't like it too hot. I lived half a year in Finland and made some great friends along the way, who I visit once per year.
My favourite mode of transportation is by train, I really love travelling by train! Of course, this makes travelling take much longer than by plane, but to me, it's part of the experience of travelling.
When I'm in a new city, I like just walking around randomly, to "get the feel" and a basic orientation of the city. I like exploring on my own, but of course I appreciate secret tips where to go as well.
And I'm looking forward to getting to know (and maybe surf with?) you! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard a lot about couchsurfing from friends and want to finally try it out myself! I like the idea very much, but for a long time I felt that I could never do it myself, because I'm not in a position that I could offer my couch, at the moment, which made me unsure about couchsurfing myself. But friends encouraged me to do it nonetheless, and, I hope, I can do that at some point in the future when I have a suitable flat (and couch).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like metal and classical orchestral music, film soundtracks as well.
Books: one absulutely amazing fantasy series is Wheel of Time. Huge recommendation! It has a high re-read value due to lots of forshadowing and tiny details, and I'm reading it for the third time at the moment.
Film-wise, I'm not that much of an expert, quite the opposite, actually. Sometimes I like small productions and deep and/or artsy films like Melancholia or Imaginaerum, but you can of course try to convince me to watch a film you like.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked as a barkeeper, mixing cocktails and stuff. I've always liked mixing drinks as a hobby and playing around, creating own cocktails, and the time working as a barkeeper was nice.
What I Can Share with Hosts
bad puns, exchanging language knowledge, cocktail recipes and mixing good drinks, stories about my exchange in Finland
