About Me

[🔜 Update: I’ve now been working for a good year and am taking some time off in Sardegna. 😉 Original plan was to circumvent the island by bike, but my knee‘s now forced me into a more sedentary lifestyle. 😁 (my MRT results came back haha). Since I’m travelling alone, happy about all and any company - be it for joint cooking, dining, or relaxing at the beach. ☺️🌞)
______

Cheers! My name is Daniel and I’m a just-graduated-soon-to-work 24 y/o guy from Munich, Germany. :) The things that currently bring me the most joy are sports (Run, Bike, Swim, Lift, …), being a big foodie, and spending some time thinking after two busy years of studying in the U.S.A. 👀

To give you some formal background on myself, I was born & raised in Germany (mostly Munich), but also spent ~2 years living in France (6th & 7th grade) - hence my good English & decent French (I also speak Spanish). Upon graduating high school I took a gap-year (spent in Cuba/Iran/London) and subsequently started my international management degree in Reutlingen, Germany. As I did a double degree with the U.S., I moved to Boston in August 2021 and spent my past two years there as well as in NYC and Bangalore, India (both for Internships). I graduated college in May, and rather than backpacking Central America (my original plan), I decided to spend some more time in Europe & discover new places & people! ☺️🙏 As of now, my plan is to start with a bike-packing trip across the UK (top-to-bottom, flight to Scotland already booked), followed by Paris, Amsterdam, potentially learning to surf in Portugal, and some time in Barcelona. 🙆‍♂️

Now, as to what I’m looking for in a host, and what I have to offer as a guest. 🙌

In general, I am super flexible and easy-going (I’ve lived in 10+ flat shares with like like 8+ nationalities, so I adapt really easily :D). In an ideal scenario, I’d look for a host/hostess that’s also open to talk a little bit / potentially do sth together, but I also 100% understand if you have a busy schedule and don’t have the time/capacity to spend a lot of time. Moreover, my energy level / capacity might also vary by where we meet (might be lower if I cycled 150Km+ that day 😉), so if you have any precise expectations pls lmk so we can align up front and prevent any misunderstandings ☺️🙌

As to what I’ll contribute to your life / time, I like to think that I’m a pretty multi-facetted, open, and pretty well-travelled lad. :) I’ll link my social media profiles below to give you a better idea of myself, but in short I love sports, techno/raves, cooking/eating, and travelling. ☺️ I’m also happy to help with some chores or cook for us if time allows for it! 🙌

With that being said, please do let me know if you have any other questions / remarks before hosting me / meeting up and I’ll be happy to answer them! ☺️🙏

Music, Movies, and Books

Music I like: Techno, Hardstyle, Hardcore, Psy-Trance, German Rap, Raggaeton, English Rap + Hip Hop, Future House..... I also enjoy DJing occasionally, Shuffle, and appreciate good European raves :)

I like Comedy, Action and Thrillers. If you happen to like watching horror movies though, I might not be the right partner to do so with! ;D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My 3-week spanish course in Cuba was defenitly one of my highlights: Not only did I learn to speak spanish fluently, but I was also able to travel 100% on my own for the first time. This allowed me to meet a lot more people than I would have ever met travelling with my parents. That defenitly made travelling a lot more special and fun, especially as the people I met were of all ages and nationalities!
