Overview
About Me
It was 1992, the year that changed my life forever: I was delivered to this world by C-section . It took some time to potty-train me, but soon after my rebellious attempts to poop in the garden, I knew it was time to comply with the norms of society. I spent my childhood and adolescence in a small town in Southern Germany.
After finishing my high school degree , I spent one year in New Zealand and Australia doing work and travel. Back in Germany, I started studying at the University of Freiburg majoring in Life Sciences. In my third year, I did an exchange year in Canada at Acadia University where I mostly took classes in Psychology; however, I was not able to acquire clairvoyant powers. Anyhoo, I then traveled around in Canada and the USA using couchsurfing for the first time, which was swell!
I am an open-minded, easy-going, somewhat humerous person that appreciates the absurdities and the wisdoms of life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My travels have shown me that staying with locals is a great experience and offers a unique perspective that is rather different from a touristic approach. They are able to lend eyes that I otherwise would not have. In the end, it´s not the place you remember, but the people.
I am always amazed by the hospitality and trust other people offer - and I am happy to return the favor when I am able to.
Interests
I love cooking and look forward to prepare meals with or cook for my hosts. I have an extensive interest in movies and I enjoy hiking. Boardgames (Settlers of Catan, Munchkin, Dominion etc.) is another passion of mine - always happy to play!
I have an absorbent curiosity for all kinds of topics, ranging from evolutionary psychology to philosophical issues, such as existence, consciousness, and rusty spoons. Admittedly, I have a very scientific outlook and understanding of the world, but I am always curious about alternative paradigms.
