Hi I'm Daniel, I'm married with no human kids but an awesome golden retriever Indi!

My wife Kathryn and I are young professionals with a love for travel and a desire to see all this world has to offer. We come as a package deal :)

We live in Perth, Western Australia and love the beach, being active, red wine and hamburgers!

We've recently returned from 12 months travelling through Europe and South America where we met some awesome people through couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love meeting people and learning about their cultures - what better way than to couchsurf and host couchsurfers! We want to know what you love about your home city, so we can experience that too. We also want to tell you all about our hometown Perth and what it has to offer you - so many people seem to skip Perth when coming to Australia.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pretty much any movie that isn't stupid comedy (think Jackass), but particularly like action movies and sports movies like Remember the Titans, Coach Carter, The Blind Side and Rocky (all of them). Also a Star Wars fan, although I'll be honest I'm a flaky Star Wars fan and can't recite the best bits but I'd happily watch any of them again!

Books - biographies, autobiographies, fast paced fiction. My favourite book would probably be I am Pilgrim (it's long but well worth it!)

Music - I'm a fan of most music although I can't get into the Taylor Swift's of our world. Bands I love: Foo Fighters (amazing live), Nirvana (was never fortunate enough to see them live), Hilltop hoods, Grinspoon, Kings of Leon, Goo Goo Dolls, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Drapht, Linkin Park, U2. I also love Jazz and Blues as I played trumpet as a kid.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking to Everest Base Camp in 2017, unbelievable experience!
Putting normal life on hold to travel the world for 12 months. We met so many great people, ate some amazing food and created life long memories.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: You about our country, hometown and national sport - Australian rules (AFL). Help anyone who's learning English or just wants to practice.
Learn: About you, your country/city and culture. Practice our very average Spanish with you!
Share: Stories of travels past, present and planned. Food, we love cooking so it would be awesome if we could cook a meal from your country together. There's always a jar of vegemite in our house for those willing to give it a try (its an Australian thing, best on toast for breakfast)!
