About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is not just a convenient way of traveling on low budget (honestly, who doesn‘t like free accommodation?) but also great for meeting locals and discovering new places in a non-touristy way.
My couchsurfing experience has been great so far. I was met with so much kindness, hospitality, and openness from people I barely knew. Couchsurfers truly are a bunch of nice people!
Interests
Not sure about the order, but here are five things I enjoy:
- Music: I have been singing in a semi-professional choir for many years and play the piano and some basic guitar.
- Surfing: I discovered my passion for surfing in India a few years ago and travel to the ocean whenever I can (while trying to keep my carbon footprint small).
- Cooking: I‘m passionate about food and enjoy having friends and family over for dinner.
- Cycling: I love traveling by bike. My biggest trip so far led me from Munich to Sweden.
- (Social) Science: I am a PhD student of sociology and care about all sorts of issues related to science and society.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once did a two-week long bicycle trip from Munich to Sweden and stayed with many fantastic couchsurfing hosts along the way!

I'm terrible at taking care of house plants, so if you want to get rid of one just ask me for advice!
