About Me

I'm a financial advisor by day, a Lyft driver by night, and a philanthropist on the weekends. I grew up raising my younger siblings, going in and out of foster care--and my heart is to fix issues within the system.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I'd like to get back on track to financial independence, after spending all my assets on medical bills from both an auto accident in 2012, and being on unpaid disability last year due to regular episodes of anaphylactic shock due to the environment of Washington (where I moved to in 2016). I can afford rent, but I'm working towards building a nest egg again, and working on my non-profit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my career in finance, over the last 7yrs, I've helped over 45,000 clients. I've saved a combined $85mil in interest between mortgages and credit cards, as well as been trusted with helping clients decide what to do with over $88mil in combined assets--but my favorite transactions have always been ones like teaching 3 generations in one sitting how to save for the first time.

In charity work, I've helped hundreds of kids work through childhood traumas enough to get clean and sober and attend college--and several individuals go from homeless to housed and productive members of society. I've done motivational speaking for charities (the largest fundraiser I've spoken for raised $50k in one night).

I currently run a non-profit called the Young Entrepreneurs Club. We help kids--ages 8-18--find empowerment through service and entrepreneurship. The idea being if you can take a kid from 4 days without food, to being able to feed someone who wouldn't eat without their help... well, personally--I've yet to find something more empowering. We've been around a little over a year, have just shy of 30 partnerships, 7 paying and after board members, 6 volunteer staff, and are starting our first pilot come the beginning of the year.
