Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is Dan! I'm a robotics engineer from Tennessee! I'm pretty impulsive and never really have my days (life) "together". I absolutely love meeting new people and hearing their stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to combine my love for adventure and meeting new people! I want to meet fantastic people, hear their stories, and learn their ways.
As a host, I want to open my home to others and share anything I might have to offer. Murfreesboro is rather (incredibly) boring, but we are close to Nashville and make for a great resting spot for wayward travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite "genre" of music is by far metal, but I'm in love with classical piano compositions. Raised on classic rock, I have a special place in my heart for bands like Kansas, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, and Chicago. I flirt with electronic and pop music every so often and really can enjoy any song with emotion.
My favorite movies include Fight Club, The Boondock Saints, The Warriors, and recently, Interstellar.
My favorite books are Walden, On Self-Reliance, the entire Dresden Files series, and the Giver series.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know about amazing, but I once played air guitar on stage. I've jumped off/out of a pretty large number of things. I've held tarantulas, scorpions, snakes, and even alligators before.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to play the drums or piano. Or how to make homemade yogurt. And granola. Or how to fix an electrical circuit and how to build robots. I am fantastically mediocre at an outrageous number of things - I can teach you too! I can teach you just enough German to communicate with a kindergartener or teach you how to tell the difference between a male and female goldfish.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation! If you need pet advice, I can help! I'm kinda sorta handy and can fix things!
