Hello! My name is Daniel Kolbo and I am a junior in college at Grand Canyon University studying Finance and Economics with a minor in Sports Management. I love to travel, especially (but not exclusively) when accompanied with my mountain bike. I was born and raised in a small town in Nebraska but felt God calling me to a change. That change being a large city, Phoenix Arizona. Along with traveling, I love building relationships with people and I have recently taken up photography/videography. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here on Couchsurfing because I am a college student and do not have a lot of money, especially to spend on traveling. Also, I love the experience of meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a lover of all music except for contemporary country music. I will listen to it if it is on, but it will NEVER be my choice of music. My favorite bands at the moment include Ben Howard, Bellarive, Sigur Ros, Foxing, Local Natives and Hillsong United. My favorite movie of all time is a series, Star Wars. I grew up on those movies and have such a strong love for them. My favorite book series of all time is Lord of The Rings, including The Hobbit. At the moment, I am reading The Space Trilogy by C.S. Lewis and am totally digging it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked in the Grand Canyon to the Havasupai Falls. Most beautiful place I have ever been. Literally. That is not a joke.
