About Me
Philosophies:
While I don't consider myself an optimist per se, I generally choose to focus on the positive aspects of my current situation for both my own benefit and for the benefit of those around me.
I believe exposure to people, places, and ideas nurtures empathy, vitality, and fulfillment.
The two best pieces of advice I've ever gotten were "Do the next right thing" and "The way you treat other people should have nothing to do with the way they treat you."
How I like to spend my time:
This of course changes over time, but most recently I've been particularly captivated by rock climbing and The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Other hobbies include canoeing, backpacking, caving, and learning guitar.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couchsurfing because meeting new people can be one of the most incredible parts of traveling. I'd much rather get to know my host and perhaps share some experiences together than stay practically anonymous in a hotel or many Air B&Bs.
