My name is Dan and I am a writer and photographer living in a house on a hill in Sarajevo, who pays the bills by working at a media marketing firm as a Sales Planner. I am originally from the state of New Jersey in the US, but have been an avid traveler for the better part of the last ten years.

It's impossible for me to name just one favorite for any of these categories, but I love Pink Floyd, Arcade Fire, Talking Heads, Cat Stevens, Frank Zappa, Grizzly Bear, Iron & Wine, Joy Division, Nine Inch Nails, and Beirut, just to name a few. I'm a big fan of Wes Anderson and Kubrick films. I write more than I read, but I love the Beats and cliche as it may be, The Catcher in the Rye is probably my all time favorite book.
