About Me

I'm a young(ish) fella who loves to explore the world and meet new people. I enjoy trying new foods, discovering new places and having fun all the while. I am in carpentry at the moment because it affords me the time and money to go out and explore. P.S. I have another profile on CouchSurfing (under my same name) but I cannot remember my password and they have not been very helpful retrieving it. On that account I have a reference and paid verification, but will not pay twice. Hopefully soon I can get my other account back..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and make new friends. To have a local share with me their knowledge of the area and to make traveling a tad easier and more affordable. It's nice to hear from someone who has spent time in the area where the best places to eat, drink and explore are. Also, to provide that service, if someone so chooses to explore Iowa for all its magnificent beauty!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm terrible at this because, I'm constantly switching things up. Right now my music is hip-hop and some lo-fi stuff. I've been chasing Christian Bale's Batman trilogy lately (so good) and a few other of his movies. I will always like His Dark Materials trilogy, but right now I am reading a couple books on underwater exploration and ways to learn new languages easier.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped an old lady carry groceries to her vehicle when I saw she was having trouble. She gave me 'a gold start for my crown'. Which I believe is a good thing and only seems to come from the elderly (this was my first, but not my last).

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe all three of those to be very important.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Being a carpenter, I could trade a little stay with work...but if I stay, I can share stories and decent times.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Netherlands, Philippines, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, United States
