Overview
About Me
22 years old, and about to head on a 5 month trip across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia from January 2017. I took a year out before going to uni to go travelling and have been hooked ever since, always planning the next adventure!
My most recent trip was to Brazil was an awesome experience!
I graduated in July 2016 and am eventually looking to go into sport events management. I've worked at the Olympic Games as well as at Wimbledon, the Open golf Championship and the ATP World Tour Finals. Hopefully one day this'll allow me to combine my two great passions of travel and sport!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
An early New Year's resolution for 2017! I've heard great things from friends about how friendly the community is, and with a 5 month trip coming up, this seemed like a great time to join!
Everything I've ever done has been made infinitely better by the people I've met along the way, and Couchsurfing seems like the best way to continue that! It also seems like the best way to see a city from a local's point of view.
Interests
My main 2 interests are sport and travel, so I often try and combine the two as much as I can! In particular tennis and the Olympics. I was in Rio in August for the Olympic Games, which was an amazing experience, and will be going to the Australian Open in Melbourne in January 2017.
I went travelling after leaving school for 4 months, mostly in Asia, going to Bali, Thailand, Cambodia and Singapore. I then spent 6 weeks in South Africa volunteering for a charity, which was a hugely eye-opening experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite bands- Coldplay, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Snow Patrol. Always enjoy Kanye West.
Movies - some favourites are Goodfellas, The Departed, The Social Network, A Beautiful Mind, The Wolf of Wall Street. Plus anything with Tom Hanks.
Books - mostly travel books, usually have a 'Rough Guide' for wherever I'm going next.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll always have plenty to talk about with any sports fans! It unites people in a way that nothing else can, across all languages which I think is a pretty amazing thing. You can go to places where people barely speak English, but when they find out you're from UK they'll always be able to talk about football.
