I grew up in Waco, TX, and was fortunate to travel quite a bit when I was young with my family. Travel has always been something I have valued, probably because I was exposed to it's rewards at a young age. I went to college in Texas as well, where I completed my degree in Finance before returning to work with my father. Working is a big part of my life as well. My father owns a heating and air conditioning business here in Texas (its hot in summer), so I've been working in it for almost 15 years. I recently got married and I'm the happiest I have ever been :) I spend each day trying to get better at life and everything is currently well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best way to experience the world is through traveling and doing. The best way to understand a place is through meeting other people and sharing information. Culture is what people are and in this world there are so many diverse cultures and interesting people. This is the best avenue I have come across to make connections and develop relationships while traveling.

Interests

I enjoy traveling the most (duh!) and also learning about different people and where they come from. I love sports (really all of them). I spend a lot of time working and on the weekends I enjoy spending time with my wife and friends.
Learning is fun and learning by doing is the most fun. Outdoor activities are important me. My wife and enjoy swimming, biking, and hiking. We love trying new foods. I guess that makes us somewhat foodies. I love cities, she loves beaches.

Music, Movies, and Books

I appreciate all music though enjoy alternative music the most. Silvers Pickups & Minus the Bear are my favorites. Classic rock is an enjoyable pastime for me. Frank Sinatra is an amazing artist. I try to read everyday. The Godfather is one of my favorites. I don't watch a lot of movies as sports usually takes precedent on my tv. If I do watch anything is usually series on Showtime or HBO like Homeland or Ray Donovan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My wife and I went skydiving in New Zealand last year. She swore to me she would never, ever go skydiving!
