About Me

¡Hola!

ENGLISH

Hey! I'm traveling through South America in April starting in Colombia, most likely followed by Peru and Chile. I'm mostly doing voluntourism through Workaway, but would like to do some couchsurfing in between to meet locals and enrich my experience and cultural immersion.

Last year, I did some voluntourism as a teacher in the Czech Republic, and as an au pair in Spain. It's been my favourite way to travel so far, I'd highly recommend it to anyone. The few couchsurfing experiences I've had in Malaysia and the US have also been really memorable and fulfilling.

A bit of background: I'm doing some “soul searching” after being dissatisfied with my job in software, trying to figure out what kind of life and career would be meaningful to me. So I'm very interested in meeting all types of people, especially people who have found a career they're passionate about. But I understand that thats not incredibly common 😅 so also super down to just talk about anything, from sports to music to local culture to personal values / beliefs. I'm still young at heart and am down to go on any adventures or go out to drink or party 🎉

I was born in England, raised in Canada, and I'm ethnically Chinese. I have a major in Computer Science and a minor in Psychology. My free time is spent playing sports (basketball, climbing, boxing), hiking, drawing, and recently I've been trying to learn piano and snowboarding and working on my Spanish. I speak Mandarin at a near fluent level, and French at a conversational level, if you're learning these languages I can practice with you :)
