About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To love life as it comes. To share all to those who share. To give my best for those I love.

ABOUT ME

Father travelling with his son exploring the world, various cultures, countries and landscapes as well as seascapes. Sailing is a mutual hobby that we love, as well as music, nature and technique.

PHILOSOPHY

The end is only the beginning. Never give up!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Helping others with a place to crash: room with bed(s). Hospitable homely environment in the outskirts of our provincial town in the center of Eastern Netherlands, close to Germany. 15 min. walking distance to Gelredome (stadion / concert place). We do not pay for expenses. If time allowes, I would gladly guide you aroun my hometown or other great places and cities/villages in the Netherlands.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not yet, but hopefully growing soon. It is anyway the best way to get in touch with the real authentic people from anywhere in the world and learn to see their hometowns from their eyes.

As for hosting, I already hosted travellers before Couchsurfing or AirBnB existed. Through VirtualTourist, my own international network of friends and now also CS, I hosted people from: Germany, France, Belgium, England, Scotland, Italy, Denmark, Russia, Canada, United States, Brasil, Egypt, Israel, India, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan and Japan.

Interests

Sailing, music, cultural history, natural splendour, stories behind the sights, traditions and people.
