To explore art, science, nature ant everything else that the world has to offer! I'm just starting out on a six month adventure to explore Europe, living and working as an artist. If I can sleep on your couch I promise to gift you an artwork!

ABOUT ME

I'm a chilled out Australian artist who's out to travel the world, take every opportunity I can and making up the adventure as I go. I love to meet people, swap stories and share experiences, approaching everything with an open mind, respect, consideration and a sickly positive attitude.

As much as I love getting into crazy situations, wild times and meeting people, I'm equally at home with a sketch book in a cafe, working on ideas and thoughts. I'm keen to have the chance to make art on the other side of the world! You can check out my stuff at danpower.net

I want to know what people love about their part of the world and the fact that people are so willing to open their homes up to strangers is a beautiful thing! My housemates and I have hosted before and I've had one or two experiences being hosted in the U.S.

Nature, art and science are the loves of my life! With a background in evolutionary biology and science communication I aim to merge all three and get lost in this beautiful reality! I'm a bit of a space cadet who loves physics but I'd much rather have a chat about it over a drink or two. I'm always up for hiking, camping and shit talking

I struggle to stray from non fiction and get caught up in science writers like Richard Dawkins, Lawrence Krauss, Hawking, Tim Flannery and Bill Bryson but have been branching out into sci-fi with Asimov and Douglas Adams

As for films, I'm a sucker for all things Tarentino and Wes Anderson

I'm a science communicator and artist, I want to know as much about the nature, the universe, reality and people as I can and express things through art! Many trippy thoughts and crash courses in evolutionary biology over breakfast and countless snippets of natural history

I also want to share my art with those who feed my inspirations and experiences!

COUCHSURFING ARTIST RESIDENCIES

Many places throughout Europe offer artist residencies for hundreds of euros for artists to stay and create. I'm here to explore and create, but ultimately need a place to sleep/ shower etc. If you're so kind as to put me up for a couple of days I'd love to leave you with an artwork! My very own
