About Me

I'm a 25-year-old guy from a small sleepy town in Germany. I'm currently living in Iowa City IA for an exchange semester studying urban and regional planning. I'm interested in everything city planning related and specialized in bicycle infrastructure planning and disaster mitigation. So if you have any questions about city planning I'm your guy! I've been solo traveling for around 8 years now and it's still the best thing to really expand your horizon. Every new journey motivates me more and I want to see more places, and meet more people! I guess Couchsurfing is a good place for that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to learn from the people that I'm visiting and I hope that they can learn from me. And I guess there's so better way of learning about new places than actually visiting people from those places. I surfed for the first time 6 years ago in Taiwan and really want to get back to it. I'll be travelling in late December and early January for about a month trough the united states and hope that I can meet nice people while I'm traveling!

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to Hip Hop and Alternative/Indie stuff. No particular favorite artist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just renting a scooter somewhere in Taiwan and just drived around. felt like absolute freedom.
Went to a Belarussian Punk Concert and directly afterwards due to random circumstances to a Rave somewhere in Minsk.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn: Other cultures, alternative ways of living, food and music.
Teach: How to eat Pasta with Pesto seven days a week without getting severe depressions and some juggling.
Share: Mostly something to share just happens spontanously. Like cooking together or sharing storys. Don't want to determine something beforehand.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A smile and a good conversation. And we could do stuff together.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belarus, France, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
