About Me

I'm originally from Siófok, near the precious lake Balaton, currently working and living in Budapest. Sports, travelling and languages have long been my holy trinity. Found some other passions recently, have been eagerly interested in gastronomy, based on another trinity beer-wine-coffee.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I signed up during my exchange semester spent in Bilbao, Spain. It helped me to learn how to make the most out of hosting and travelling, while deeply developing self-understanding, too.
I got to know some really lovely people with the help of CS, though I did not have much chance to use it for surfing.

Interests

Sports - a huge variety of them especially ball games (football, basketball, beach volleyball, ski).
Travelling; I like to explore a new place even more than going back to a beloved one.
We recently started to brew beer with a friend of mine at home. Still in the beginner stage, but we really had some nice batches so far and we enjoy it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Mumford & Sons, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Guns & Roses; By genre: jazz, classic rock, blues, reggae, dutch house.
I admire Steven Tyler.. would really like to see Aerosmith live until they are out there.

Movies: The Deer Hunter, American Beauty, Pulp Fiction, The Clockwork Orange.
Books: The Man with the Golden Touch - a novel by Hungarian author Jókai Mór, usually a mandatory in secondary schools. Might be strange, I still haven't found a better one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught my Brazilian colleauge how to ski in half a day from zero (at least many said that full credit should go to me for his rapid improvement). I was really proud of this guy!
Performed the Marathon for the first time. It had not seemed that special previously, though collapsing 1km before finish and struggling for 70 minutes to regain consciousness was really a thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Share knowledge in languages, culture and local vibes.
Same goes for cooking, I like trying other cuisines a lot and show the specialities of the Hungarian.
Cooking goes for beer too, I may teach some curiosities on how to brew it :P and of course share to taste.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Hungary, Spain
