Couchsurfed with a friend last year, and looking to surf solo now. In East TN for the season, doing forestry/fire work before heading out west for wildfire season. I graduated from Illinois with a bio degree a couple years back and now I’m doing as much seasonal work, and seeing as many new places as I can. Recently did research in the El Yunque Rainforest in Puerto Rico for a few months and some forestry/trail work out West last year. I also worked in education for three years and at the St. Louis Zoo throughout college.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ll be living out of my car throughout the season to see as much of the area as I can, so a roof is always welcome. But I’m also looking to meet some local people that can point me in the direction of the happenin’ spots for hikes, bikes, drinks, kayaks, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Open to everything. I love most music, and I’m really pumped to check out Appalachia’s music scene. Best book I’ve read recently was Dune and otherwise I’ve been reading a lot of non-fiction stuff.
