About Me

I'm a 22 year old Christian. I study at the University of Western Australia majoring in Sport Science, Exercise and Health. I work on holiday and weekend camps with an organization called scripture union working with kids in all walks of life. I love the outdoors and will explore every knook and cranny possible. I like leading a healthy lifestyle and challenging myself to try new things. I'm a free spirit and am always up for a new adventure.I'm always up for a good chat, love discussing things and learning things. I believe living a life selflessly is one of the most important things we can do. Most importantly I love my family and friends and will do anything for them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because I believe the thing that makes travelling such an awesome experience, is not only the places that you visit, but also the people you meet. To share experiences with like minded people who have a sense of adventure and to share culture with one another. Also, meeting new people is fun!

Interests

Surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, sport (all sports), craft beer and whisky, hiking, eating out at new eateries, travelling (exploring new places). I love cooking, playing instruments (drums, recorder). I enjoy animals and nature. I will give anything and everything a go.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is indie and alternative. Also any old school classic hit music. Superstition by Stevie Wonder is a song that really gets me going.

Favorite movies are probably the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Also the Patriot. Anything with drama and suspense, edge of the seat viewing. Any dog movie, particularly ones that make me cry e.g My Dog Skip.

I'm not a big reader, but when I get recommended a book I will read for hours, possibly days. Really recommend The Martian by Andy Weir.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On one evening at the place I was previously renting, my housemate and I were bored. So much so, that my housemate spotted a bunch of cutting boards in the corner of the kitchen. He said to me "I bet you can't throw a knife directly into those cutting boards". I calmly got up, chose the knife I was to use based on handle to knife weight ratio. I took a few paces away lined up my knife and threw it. It landed perfectly in the cutting board. I cried a single tear of joy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot of things. Perhaps some cooking, surfing, teaching you Australian sport, how to distinguish between an African and European swallow (if you get the reference you are welcome to my house any time).

I'm up for learning anything as long as it isn't quilting, actually, quilting would be cool.

What can I share. As the famous saying goes, what is mine is yours, except my bed. My bed is comfortable and glorious and is for no one but myself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good food, good chats and good times.
