About Me

Now that is a story to tell. I am easy to get along with and always happy to take on a challenge or adventure. I've been an IT consultant for the same company for 9 years and have now decided its time to do some traveling and see some of the world before doors start closing and options start running out. Do you ever get that feeling that you are supposed to do something impressive with your life? Well I get that so its time to go hunting for it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Its time for me to start exploring and so I will be heading to New Zealand to see all the sites and see what options are open to me. I plan on staying in hostels to get to know people and have people to talk too but think it would also be great to meet some local people and people who actually live in the area's im visiting rather than just random tourists

Interests

I used to be really overweight and fitness / exercise got me out of that run and became something I really enjoy. I may not be the best at everything but I do love giving it a go to see what happens. I enjoy Mountain biking, Climbing, Running (in moderation!), Hiking and martial arts along with a good helping of relaxing and chilling out talking with good company

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a tough one as my musical taste is so varied. I will happily listed to Drum and Bass one minute, followed by rock, followed by Jazz, followed by, Hip hop, followed by metal.... you see where this is going. I think a lot of music has a place and a mood so I will listed to most things. One of my faviourite movies is human traffic as when you get down to it it's just a story about a weird group of friends being friends which to me is what it is all about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once drove a car with some friends from the UK all around Europe dressed as a knight to raise money for Leukemia research. We made our own chain mail Armour and decorated the car and set of on our adventure. As our luck would have it (or lack of luck!) the car broke down at the top of a mountain in the Alps leaving us stranded with night coming in... still dressed as nights. We ended up stuck in a sleepy little village for 5 days until it could be repaired and actually had a great time relaxing and walking about.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am open to learning new things and meeting new people is the main reason I want to travel along with seeing the sites obviously. The more I can learn the more I know I can grow.

What I Can Share with Hosts

It if it is skills that are needed then I can be handy with DIY and I can teach anyone most things about computing and recommend lots of different ways to do things on computers to make life easier. I also have a whole host of crazy stories, adventures and advice to share if anyone is willing to listed.
