Overview
About Me
My name is Daniel Scott and I am a manager of coaching for a youth soccer program in Northern Colorado, USA and try to use soccer as a vehicle for connection and character building among youth. To me the destination IS the journey - but the journey should not be spent alone! Indeed we are all in this together and we have so much to learn from one another. I am a lover of life and all that is in it- especially the natural world and people from all over the place. I do my best to surrounding myself with people from other places and perspectives than that of my own. I desire to spread love and light wherever I go and to seek understanding is first and foremost goal. Everyone carries with them an important story- I'm not into hiding mine, and if your willing I'd love to hear a bit about yours. I think our similarities are greater than our differences, and yet our differences are what make us beautiful and unique and allow us to learn from each other. I guess you'd say this is why I studied Cultural Anthropology at the University of Northern Colorado. I enjoy universal languages like music, sport, (particularly soccer) coffee and tea. The simple things in life are the best. Jesus is my friend and teacher. My wife is my life companion and travel-buddy and she comes with me :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Beyond simply experiencing new things and places through travel, connection with local people and experiencing a bit of life through the eyes of people that are passionate about their community and place in the world is my favorite thing about traveling. All person to person relationships (for only a moment or for 30 years) are sacred and mutually beneficial. Lets hang out and share a cup of coffee or tea at your favorite local cafe!
