I recently completed a cycling adventure from Türkiye to Kyrgyzstan 🚴🏻‍♂️ Now I'm in South Asia focusing on writing and photography.

Travel and adventure is in my DNA. When I was a kid my family moved around a lot, and as an adult I embraced this kind of nomadic lifestyle. After high school I became a sailor; for five years the sea was my home and I enjoyed visiting many different ports ⚓

After this, I went to university but continued to travel as much as possible. So far, I've travelled to over 65 countries and territories. My current adventure will be my biggest ever, but I've also done a couple of big journeys before:

In 2021/22 I attempted to get as far east as possible without taking a plane. I crossed Europe and then picked up the Silk Road route through Eurasia. Due to covid and conflict, I could only get as far as Iran before I had to turn back towards Europe.

In 2023/24 I flew to Pakistan and continued the overland route through Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. I finished my time in South Asia in the foothills of Nepal before heading to Kazakhstan and making my way back to Europe via Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Türkiye.

I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, learning about different cultures and having different experiences 🗺️ I enjoy being outside, particularly on long walks in nature or hiking through mountains, especially when they end with a nice spot to camp 🏕️

Unsurprisingly, my favourite kind of books are travel related. Anything that involves adventure! Not only do I enjoy reading about travel, I also love to hear other people's travel tales and experiences or to learn new things about their culture.

Learning about new cultures and traditions is an important part of why I travel as much as possible.
