Overview
About Me
This is always the hardest part to write, I guess reading my references is better :P
Both my parents are biologists so I have always been in love with science and nature, I studied Physics and Earth Science a while ago but had to stop because I had severe back problems and also, Academia made me lost a lot of interest on it as a career. I have always been addicted to music and I spend a lot of time studying the history of classical music and opera, that’s probably where my life is headed. I try to read as much as possible and
I’m always eager to learn new things to get a better understanding of the (crazy) world we live in. I’m always willing to have long, interesting conversations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined CS to get some tips when I travelled to Prague back in 2013, I didn’t expect to get hosted without references but I was and it was an amazing experience. I have not been able to travel since then but I love hosting, so far every person I’ve met in this page has been really nice and interesting and it’s always a great excuse to rediscover my city. Even if I can't host you I'll gladly help you with as much information as you need.
I hope I’ll be able to travel again soon and meet lots of interesting hosts :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Can't name them all, from the top of my head it would be The sorrows of young Werther (Goethe), The book of laughter and forgetting (Kundera), Steppenwolf (Hesse), The Turn of Screw (James) and several textbooks.
Movies: Same as above, I'm mainly into kinda dark movies like Mullholland Dv., Melancholia, Dogville, The Hours, etc.
Shows: Six Feet Under, Veep, Please Like Me, Bojack Horseman, The haunting of Hill house, The young pope.
Music: I mostly hear classical music and opera but I think I like a couple of songs of every genre I've ever encountered and I could like more if I get more into it.
Favorite composers: Purcell, Bach, Händel, Gluck, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Berlioz, Brahms, Wagner, Mahler, Sibelius, R. Strauss, Ravel, Debussy, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Britten, Schnnitke, Ligeti and many others.
Favorite bands/musicians: The Gathering, Therion, Anneke van Giersbergen, Opeth, Kylie Minogue, Jessie Ware, Kiddy Smile, Florence + the Machine, Dido, Anathema and many many others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some years ago my Geology teacher showed us a piece of the Allende Meteorite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allende_meteorite )it may not seem like much but holding something that is older that our beautiful planet just blew my mind.
Music wise, I was completely moved to tears when the Helsinki Philarmonic orchestra played Sibelius' Fifth Symphony in Mexico City.
The first time I sang Orff's Carmina Burana and Beethoven's 9th symphony were really great. I'm an on and off choir tenor, I don't really see myself as a musician but it's really cool to be on stage every now and then.
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess my special ability is knowing a lot of things that happen in Mexico city. I'm aware of pretty much every concert that will happen in the city, everything from metal to classical. I also know a lot of museums and if they have temporal exhibitions, festivals, restaurants and funny thing to do. You can be sure I'll give a you a lot of options if you stay with me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I work in the staff of UNAM's orchestra and I have a lot of friends in the classical world. I get free tickets pretty often.
