My name is Daniel, my wife Risa and I live in Seattle, Washington while I'm finishing my undergraduate degree. I grew up here in Seattle and my wife is from Yokohama, Japan. When I finish my degree we'll be moving back home to Japan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The summer of 2016, my wife and I spent two months in Europe. We were able to couchsurf with a few people and the experience was amazing, and we were overwhelmed with hospitality. So it's our turn to give back and hopefully help to facilitate an awesome adventure for someone coming to the Seattle area.

We also love to meet travelers and exchange stories. The world is a large place and whether it's to live vicariously through someone else or get some tips/tricks for handling it ourselves when we go to visit, we like to hear about that.
Also, there seems to be an innate like-mindedness among people who go travel the world, so we like to meet these people and hear their stories.

We lived out of backpacks for two months while traveling around Europe.

We can teach English and Japanese. We love learning new things, and have a bunch of different experiences that we can share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can show you how to make Japanese and American food, teach you English or Japanese if you are learning, or have a jam session if you play guitar! We can share stories, and go on adventures with people!
