Overview
About Me
Hi alltogether. I'm Daniel, performing a master in physics in Heidelberg, southern Germany. Besides my studies, I'm mainly interested in music - I've been playing the trombone for nearly 15 years now - and politics, as well as in getting to know other countries, cultures and people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Being on couchsurfing is a unique opportunity to meet up with locals while being abroad. To me personally, the impressions of a country and culture gained this way are among the most original and personal ones. They are the ones that are most likely to end up in lasting friendships.

Music, Movies, and Books
Among my favorite musical pieces are certainly classical ones, like the ones by Bach, Gustav Mahler or Richard Strauss. I also often listen to some Jazz and Charts music.
Concerning books, I very much like to read Hermann Hesse.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I certainly want to name here my year abroad in Utrecht, Netherlands. Meeting a lot of new people, mostly Dutch ones, getting to know the Dutch culture and growing personally made the year unforgettable for me.
