Overview
About Me
I'm an English teacher and musician. I love nature and languages and meeting people from different cultures (or from my own culture).
I grew up mostly in New York City but also in Tehran, Iran. I am of mixed Iranian-American background.
In my home and in my travels I am usually singing or playing music. I like to carry my setar (Persian lute) with me when I travel. It's like a lightweight guitar.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting people and experiencing new cultures, languages, music, foods. I try to avoid touristy things as much as possible and couch surfing offers a way to get to know a place away from the tourist hubs. Also I meet amazing people. Can't emphasize that enough.
I believe in hospitality and being a host allows me to give that. Unfortunately, until recently I had a roommate who did not want surfers (love him anyway), but he has since moved out so I plan to start hosting as soon as I get back from the trip I'm currently on!

Songs and music--I'll sing to you in Persian, English, Spanish, maybe Turkish or Armenian a little too...
Play guitar, setar, drums...
I can teach English like a pro (I have a master's in TESOL). I'll give you lessons if you want.
