About Me

I'm currently travelling South East Asia and India solo and will then be embarking on a mission to travel across USA using public transport. I'm extremely open minded and keen to discover new cultures and customs first hand. I'd consider myself a very positive person and very optimistic and these aspects of my personality reflect in my love of travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on coachsurfing because I think the concept is fantastic. The idea of meeting up with new people so you can share new experiences together and share knowledge really appeals to me. Meeting new people from all over the world has always been one of my favourite aspects of travelling so when I heard about an app especially dedicated to these meetings I joined right away. I also look forward to the challenge of criss crossing USA using public transport and couchsurfing.

Interests

My interests are ,of course, travel and everything that it entails. Exploring new places and gaining unique experiences in places all over the world. I love to socialise and meet new people, especially those with similar travel interests.
I enjoy reading and I am a massive house music fan. I recently got certified with my PADI open water diving license and am a very keen diver

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like reading and love all genres. My favourite author is Stephen King but I also highly rate Terry Pratchett, Conn Iggulden and Peter James. Shantaram is my favourite book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The greatest experience of my life started when I was on the Metro train in Delhi, India. I was looking at a map when a guy aproached and offered to help me find where I was going. We got chatting and he offered lunch at his house with his family which I gratefully accepted. I hadn't realised until we was walking into them that my new friend lived in the slums but any a prehension I had soon dissolves when all the local kids came out to say hello and smile at me. His family and neighbours were the most generous people I have ever met and I ended up eating 3 lunches at 3 homes and spending the whole afternoon meeting joyous well wishers. There's something pure about people with so little giving food to strangers so happily and not wanting anything in return but a smile. That day changed my life. My profile picture is one taken on that day.
Another memorable experience would have to be my fist dive in Bohol, Philippines. Also spending Christmas and New Years with a Filipino family felt like a very unique and personal experience.
