Because it provides a way to meet like minded people who are interested in the same things and have similar interests and ambitions. As well, having the chance to stay with a local or at least someone who lives in the area is amazing and probably one of the best ways to get the most authentic experience. Mainly electronically produced music, dnb, dubstep, ambient, chillout, house etc etc. Favourite producer is Feed Me. But I listen to a bit of everything (hate saying it that but it's true). Honestly from classic rock, tech metal to folk and piano pieces.
Gladiator, Good, Bad and the Ugly, Wedding Crashers, Leon, Into the Wild. Usually thrillers or thought provoking films but I'm a sucker for Disney and animated films too.
Great Expectations, Treasure Island, Harry Potter.

Hitchhiked to and from a rave in the mountains, Mt Blanc, France.
Fed crocodiles before, that was pretty cool.
1000KM road trip round North Thailand with my two amibros was one of the best experiences of my life.
Riding from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi over a month with a new friend and kayaking in Bai Tu Long bay.
