My name is Daniel. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States. I moved to Providence, Rhode Island, in 2012 where I attended undergrad at Brown University. After graduating in 2016, I worked for a year as an English teacher at a university in Bogotá, Colombia. Currently, I am working as a research assistant at the Brown University School of Public Health where I do HIV and STD prevention research. Next year (2018), I will be doing a Fulbright Research Fellowship in public health at the Federal University of Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil. I've traveled and lived in many places within Latin America (including Brazil and Colombia).

One of the best parts of traveling is meeting people along the way. I love learning from those that I get to know and sharing in new experiences with them. Couchsurfing is a platform that facilitates this kind of awesome cultural exchange worldwide. I love it!

I guess some of my favorite music genres include electronic, R&B, pop, classical, and folk. But I'm pretty open to all genres!

I don't know if I have a favorite movie per say, but one that I recently saw that I love was Lady Bird.
