ABOUT ME
I'm currently a film student at UW, and hoping to one day work as a director or cinematographer.
In the meantime, serious traveling has been something I've always wanted to do, and I'm hoping to meet awesome people from around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to Couchsurfing, but right now I'm trying to involve myself with the community and make some friends. I don't have a couch of my available at the moment, but hopefully that'll change soon.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My family has hosted couchsurfers before, mainly from Japan and India. My mother is an avid couchsurfer, and she introduced me to the site. She's brought me along on couchsurfing trips to Vancouver, BC and Shanghai.
I hope to branch out and get some couchsurfing experience on my own.
Interests
I love everything about movies: watching them, learning about them, and trying my hand at making them. That's why I decided that I might as well spend my life working with something I love. Cinema is the defining part of my life.
Books are also close to my heart as well; I grew up constantly reading, and it was through the written word that I came to fall in love with stories and the awe-inspiring art of storytelling. I used to always bury myself in fiction, particularly fantasy and science fiction, but nowadays I enjoy learning about the world through books on history, science, and sociology.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, forests, rivers, and mountains have always been close at hand, and I really do enjoy spending my time outdoors. Hiking was one of my regular pastimes, though I haven't found the time for it often in recent days. Hopefully, I'll stop making excuses soon and get myself back to it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of movies. Some of my favorites are Brazil, Oldboy, Seven Samurai, Sunshine, Jackson's LOTR, Apocalypse Now, and Vertigo.
My taste in music changes a lot, so I've ended up with a library full of indie rock, electro, hip hop, experimental music, video game soundtracks, J-rock, and K-pop. I'm open to discovering anything.
