About Me

CURRENT MISSION: I’m currently traveling Sweden, Norway and Denmark to meet up with friends that I made during my Erasmus exchange in Finnland :) soon I will be on my way back to Munich which will bring me to beautiful Copenhagen. I’m a big fan of architecture so naturally Copenhagen gets me pretty excited :D hope to spend some wonderful days there with locals to share the experience with.

Hi There!

My name is Daniel and I'm a German student that slowly approaches the end of university life (sad!). I spend the last year on an exchange in Finland meeting amazing people from all over the world!
Now that I returned to Munich, my mission is to keep traveling, reconnect with people that I met before and of course meet other new and interesting people!

I had the pleasure to host a couple of people in Finland, something I started way too late, because of finding out about it rather late and coming up with stupid excuses before that.
My friends Konrad and Marwan lead the way by starting to except surfers and I soon followed :)

Now that I'm back in Munich, my current living situations sadly doesn't allow to host anymore but hopefully I will soon be able to accept guests again, cook together, have a good time and show them the beauty that is the city of Munich!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my exchange in Finland both of my friends started excepting surfers and because the kitchen on my floor was the cleanest and cosiest in the whole dorm (some would say the only clean one) they soon started bringing them over to my place. It was super interesting to meet people all over the world, hearing their stories, sharing food and just having a good time together.
And after my friends had to stop due to personal obligations and/or complaining flatmates, I took the scepter in my hands and started having surfers at my place; not the slightest regrets yet ;-)

Interests

I'm German and close from the mountains, you kind of have to be in hiking otherwise society will expel you ;-)
Cooking is my other passion and I inherited that one from my dad who is a chef and has his own restaurant in the Bavarian country side.
Also im kind of a nerd about history, if you love stupid facts about buildings, cities or cultures, you will love me.

Meeting so many fantastic people here in Finland, going with them to Sauna and jumping into ice cold lakes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully delicious meals, useless fact if you like to hear them and an open ear and many questions about the place you are from and the experiences you made.
And of course answering questions about Finland and Germany.

Also, my dad is a chef and people told me that based on my cooking I'm indeed his son, so if you like, I can treat you with some delicious German food :D
