I'd like to think I'm a respectful, open minded, and well rounded individual. While my main aptitude is probably knowledge about ice cream, I'd like to think I have a pretty large and diverse set of interests that I can hold a conversation about. Sports (Soccer, basketball, football, running, surfing, snowboarding), philosophy, pop culture, counter culture, non-profits, religion, science fiction & futurology, business and technology, beer and spirit tasting, burger binging, binge watching, video gaming, reading, and environmental consciousness are all things I've dabbled in and discussed at length with couch surfers around the country and always have I gained some new insight and perspective I hadn't thought of before.

Oh yeah, I listen to a lot of podcasts while traveling also haha.

I'm on a cross country journey to try the best ice cream in every state. As the room portion of traveling can eat into a budget pretty fast, I'm trying to see if there is a cheaper alternative.

^ That was my initial thoughts going into this. NOW I realize that couch surfing is probably the best way to travel. Having a local to help show you the sights, best local dive spots, and provide new and refreshing perspectives contrary to my own are what I look forward to every time I tackle a new city. I've learned so much and heard so many fascinating stories from others, I genuinely feel like I've grown as a human being, and it's all thanks to Couch Surfing.
