About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be open to almost any experience I have the chance to live

ABOUT ME

I grew up amongst the crazyness of Bogota Colombia and lived there until 2008 when I moved to Los Angeles to study musical composition. About a year after I decided I did not want to make a living off of the only thing that truly makes me happy, so I began studying political economy at the beautiful University of California, San Diego. All this without renouncing to music at all, of course.

Since 2008 I've been going back and forth between the US and Colombia so many times that I don't really even know where home is anymore. The fact that I've lived in LA, San Diego, and now New York probably makes life even more confusing. Or clearer? Anyways, I graduated in june, 2012 and moved to New York with dreams of becoming a subwaymusicstar. kidding. I'll probably be here until June of 2013, but hopefully longer. I love this city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I usually attend various CS events that go on throughout the city and hang out all the time with couch surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only time I've couchsurfed was in Ecuador in 2010, and it was an amazing experience. I haven't done it since simply because I haven't traveled as much as I'd wish I could. That will change soon though.

Oook... this is pretty dated...

Since then I've travelled around all of South America except for Venezuela and the Guyanas. Done couch surfing in Rio, Montevideo, Mendoza and Atacama.

I've also been to Europe and I did couch surfing once in Granada and once in Berlin.

Currently I'm doing a semester abroad for my master's at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and will be hitting the road around mid november 2018 to check out this amazing country :)

***UPDATE***

After an entire year of amazing life nourishing experiences while studying, doing research and travelling in South Africa & Thailand (along with some neighboring countries), I have moved back to Berlin to finish my masters on globalization studies at Humboldt University.

My current goals are to write my MA thesis on the biopolitical aspects of the War on Drugs (look up Michelle Foucault - Biopower), learn German, make enough money to subsist, and meet people with whom enjoy this amaying city and learn about life together :)

Interests

I've been playing the drums for about 7 years and the guitar for like 4. I love going to music concerts, theater, the movies, festivals, etc.
