About Me

To me CS is more than a free place to stay. While I'm young and traveling I want to get the most realistic glimps of each culture I come into contact with and I find CS is the best way to achieve this, not by staying in hotels or going to tourist traps; even hostels can be a great experience but you do not tend to meet locals, you meet other travelers who can be loads of fun. But still, I want the real deal.

The things I enjoy most tend to be simple things; I'm perfectly content reading a book, listening to music, playing my guitar, falling asleep next to a fire, or having decent conversation with friends.
I really enjoy being in nature and seeing new places of natural beauty. I was 23 the first time I left place I grew up so everything Is new and incredible to me. Making the most of my travels now to see it all.
If I find the time for a day off, I'll often spend hours cooking myself breakfast, then hours cooking lunch, and then a couple more hours making dinner. I really like to cook large, elaborate, delicious meals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be traveling Europe and hope to use couch surfing as a way to meet local people who can show or suggest real experiences, rather than the very obvious tourist traps. I'm often having a great time in smaller cities or villages.
After traveling and using CS for a bit, I've also learned how great it is to make life long friends, despite the distance. So I'm also here to meet more people and to continuously diversify my experience in life.
I hope that when I return from my trip and have my own place that I'll be able to provide the same experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: almost anything other than American top 40s pop and country. I've been really into the math rock and post rock sound lately. There are a number of great bands with that style coming out of the uk and hope to see some live shows while I'm there!
Books: my favorite book of all time is Ishmael, by Daniel Quinn.
Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, Orwell, Albert Camus to name a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In august I travelled the coast of Norway with two new friends all while living out of a VW van.

Teach, Learn, Share

Perhaps I could cook you some "American" dishes, give you a stick and poke tattoo, or whatever else happens!

Everyday is a school day.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good, fun, and positive attitude. I'm always willing to learn something new, whether it is from good conversation or experiences.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Morocco, Norway, Spain, Sweden
