About Me
Must I fill this in now?
Then what are the other questions for?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people. Why else?
Interests
Stamp collecting and basket weaving.
Oh, and tax returns.
Music, Movies, and Books
I play the 5-string banjo, and can noodle on anything with strings.
My favourite film is 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf', for the racy dialogue and poisonous tension between Richard Burton and Liz Taylor: https://youtu.be/nInE5TITzE8.
From a purely visual perspective (socio-political implications aside), I can't go past the birch forest kiss from 'Ivan's Childhood': https://youtu.be/1plWZqqVbr0
I would never pick a favourite book.
...Although, if I did, it would probably be George Orwell's 'Nineteen Eighty-Four'. I used to read a lot as a kid but I think this one probably had the most profound influence on my thought and philosophy for years afterward.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Anything can be awe-inspiring if you've had a good hearty breakfast and a cup of coffee.
Try smearing your face and chest with battery acid for a different perspective on life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to teach people anything, although my advice should always be taken with a grain of salt. I am always glad to share my knowledge, and as glad to learn new things.
Two things I do know an awful lot about are:
+Clawhammer banjo and
+Large format photography
If either of those left you scratching your head I suggest you put your wikipedia hat on and offer me your couch.
What I Can Share with Hosts
An affable smile and a cordial demeanour.
