Hello! I'm here because I'm an extrovert, I really like meeting new people, and I have an insatiable sense of adventure. I want to use this to make friends in other countries, and hopefully visit them or have them visit me. I like to live by the mantra 'try everything once' - so hit me up with your suggestions of things to do, whatever you like really!

I've lived in York for four years and know my way around pretty well. I'd be more than happy to show someone around or to accomodate them! It would be cool to see the city with a fresh pair of eyes. Very proudly from Birmingham originally but think York is possibly the prettiest city in the country (or at least, of the ones of been to) - medieval and cool! I have tips on both the best tourist things and also the weirder things, like how we have Europe's largest cat-themed gift shop in the city, and a pretty decent knowledge on the best coffee shops.

I'm studying a degree in Global Literature with a focus on ecocriticism. I find it really interesting looking at the ways in which current international politics that relate to the environment are translated into media, films, novels and art. I'm hoping that over the next two years I will be able to do some in depth academic research

I'm doing it part-time for several reasons:
1. To relieve the stress on my mental-health/well-being
2. So that I can pay for my accomodation with a part-time job
3. So that I can stretch out the studying over two years and really focus on every topic!

I'm also trying to develop some employable skills over the next couple of years: particularly, I'd like to be able to take great photographs and know how to use Adobe photo editing software well; I'd like to be able to speak at least two other languages by the time I'm 25; m super gay. The gayest. Gay gay gay. Queer af. Hi.
